#MBBChallenge Day 12: Look MA, I’m on TV!

 Yes, Fitness Guru Max, I am ready for my close-up. I’m going to be on Max’s Best Bootcamp TV!

Day #12: Friday, Jan. 23, 2015

There’s nothing better than working hard at something that is hard and finally seeing results. All last week I thought Max’s scale was stuck and that all of my work was not doing anything and then finally today? BAM! I lost…. wait for it….answer at the end.

Before my personal training session, Max asked me to record a video segment with him for his Max’s Best Bootcamp TV show. I was hesitant at first because I don’t feel like I have had great results yet  but I agreed to do it because he is so darn nice and how could you say no to this guy?

Plus, the more I talk about reaching my goal, the more motivated I become to keep working hard…. which is exactly what Jess and I did in today’s personal training session which consisted of:

  • Overhead sandbag push-up squats – lift a 20 lb. sandbag over your head then do squats while holding it up for 40 seconds
  • Side-ski lunges (?) & push-ups – tests your balance and works your whole body
  • Pushing 35 lbs. on the sled – not like a “Ho Ho Ho” Santa sled, more like an ARGH “football player, this thing is going to kick your butt into shape,” kind of sled.

We did 3 sets of all of these. Jess said my recovery time is getting better so next week we will do 45 seconds per set instead of 40. After getting ready to leave I decided to weigh myself.  YAY! I lost 5 pounds! Jess was SO excited she immediately ran to get the tape measure to see if I lost any inches and YAY! I lost 1.5 inches off my waist and 1% body fat! In less that 2 weeks? What the WUUUUTTT???

This was a great way to end the week and definitely keeps me motivated.

Day #12 stats:

  • Breakfast: Scrambled eggs and coffee with half & half
  • Lunch: Wasn’t hungry
  • Dinner: Salad & chicken parm
  • Workout: Personal Training  (details above)
  • Weight: 1×3 – WOO! I lost 5 pounds!
  • Lost 5  pounds & 1.5 inches
  • 15 to go
